‘An Introduction to Screenwriting’ Online

Delivered over 12 weeks, this totally online ‘Introduction to Screenwriting’ course will give you all the tools you need to start writing that feature film or TV pilot that you have been planning.

We start with the theory of storytelling and the logline, then take you via story structure, character, visual storytelling, dialogue and more, on the way to concluding with a table read with professional actors and a pitching session of your projects with a professional producer.

Throughout the course, we’ll be calling upon examples from classic and contemporary film and TV from AMERICAN BEAUTY and INCEPTION through to FLEABAG and THE WHITE LOTUS and ADOLESCENCE. Students will also be provided with a different full length feature or TV script to read and discuss each week.
